Transforming outdoor learning for schools, PRUs, and home‑educated groups

At The Outdoor Ed School, our outdoor instructors deliver hands-on, meaningful outdoor education that inspires schools, PRUs, and home-educated groups across Hampshire. We design each experience to be inclusive, safe, and accessible, helping every child unlock confidence and a sense of adventure, no matter their background or learning needs.

Our outdoor learning story

The Outdoor Ed School began with a simple belief: all young people, regardless of their circumstances, deserve the chance to enjoy high-quality outdoor education. Recognising the challenges faced by schools, especially those supporting hard-to-engage or SEN students, we created an affordable service that removes barriers to participation and ensures everyone benefits from learning in nature.

Our mission-led approach is to offer flexible, outcomes-focused outdoor activities in Hampshire, both onsite at our dedicated centres and delivered directly to school grounds. By doing so, we remove complex logistics, staffing worries, and prohibitive costs, making outdoor education attainable for all. Our programmes are closely linked to curriculum and wellbeing goals, supporting teachers in delivering impactful, measurable learning outcomes.

Whether you need a one-off activity day, a week-long camp, or a progressive programme spanning a term, The Outdoor Ed School brings the outdoors to life, giving children genuine adventure and helping them build trust, resilience, and curiosity.

Activity Events & Camps

Booking an event with The Outdoor Ed School is straight forward, our experienced outdoor activity instructors create sessions to engage students of every ability and background. Our activities range from archery, bushcraft, fencing, and axe throwing, to mountain biking and team challenges. We even offer immersive activities like zorb football, low ropes, virtual reality, and laser tag, giving a fresh twist on outdoor learning.

Our goal is to combine fun and achievement. Every camp, event, or activity day is built around the developmental needs of your group, helping them to collaborate, solve problems, and connect with nature. Schools booking with us gain access to exclusive online CPD courses, letting staff develop their practice in specialist outdoor education.

I've witnessed countless "lightbulb moments" with students, and my mission is to create resources that empower you to facilitate those moments, as well as provide meaningful outdoor activity events and school camps even as budgets tighten.

I'm always looking to get outdoors and be active, and I'm keen to spread that feeling with everyone that I work with. Growing up in the New Forest has really helped me want to get more kids out the classroom for more adventurous learning.
