Spratts Down
A truly immersive outdoor education venue
Spratts Down, our flagship site, perfectly embodies The Outdoor Ed School's approach to outdoor adventure and education. Located within the stunning New Forest National Park, this setting is rich with native wildlife, including deer, birds, and even the occasional badger, creating a genuine escape from classroom walls.
Facilities at Spratts Down are designed for both comfort and authentic outdoor learning. There's a dedicated 4.5-acre activity woodland zone, with a separate 9-acre woodland for larger groups or activities such as laser tag, mountain biking, and orienteering. On-site facilities prioritise both hygiene and convenience, featuring portaloos with hand-washing stations, outdoor sanitisation, and plenty of fresh bottled water.
Shelter is never a problem, thanks to our spacious marquees, ensuring school trip groups stay dry and comfortable whatever the weather. The outdoor kitchen, complete with a pizza oven and open fire setup, allows for hands-on cookery sessions, from toasting marshmallows to preparing full meals.
